Quantum Universe, Wins Nominee at Webby Awards 2024

Quantum Universe, in collaboration with Hyundai Card and Meta, created the MR campaign 'DaVinci Motel in Mixed Reality,' which has been nominated for the AI, Metaverse & Virtual - Best Experiential Design category at the 2024 Webby Awards.
The Webby Awards, hosted annually since 1996 by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) in New York, is a prestigious global digital awards ceremony. Each year, it honors excellence across nine categories, including websites, mobile sites, video, advertising, and AI, from approximately 13,000 entries worldwide. Often referred to as the "Oscars of the Internet," it celebrates the best of the web.
'DaVinci Motel in Mixed Reality' is a virtual experience campaign that reimagines Hyundai Card's 1960s California-themed cultural fusion festival. Developed in partnership with global IT company Meta, it offers MR (mixed reality) and AR (augmented reality) experiences, allowing users to explore and interact with the world of DaVinci Motel in innovative ways.
At the festival's physical location, users can utilize Meta Quest Pro to experience the DaVinci Motel set in the middle of the 1960s California desert. In this virtual environment, users can interact with motel guests, refuel vintage cars, and engage with the setting to gain a deep understanding of the DaVinci Motel world.
Additionally, three types of AR content were created to extend this experience to a broader audience. These AR features allow users to meet miniature versions of DaVinci Motel speakers or open portals to instantly transport themselves to 1960s California, providing a way to experience the DaVinci Motel universe even without attending the festival in person.
Through this project, Quantum Universe demonstrates the powerful experiences that can be created by merging online and offline environments, mixed reality, art, and immersive technology.
